Sabah's Communal titles

Sabah Chief Minister, Datuk Musa Aman said that the government's move to issue communal 
land titles is to ensure that the state's indigenous communities do not end up landless.


Sabah natives had the tendency to sell of land alienated to them, even the land is still at 
the land application (LA) stage. The land eventually end up at the hand of outsiders.


Musa added that the issuance of communal land titles was aimed at ensuring that land 
allocated to the indigenous communities could not be sold and later would be inherited by future 
generations.


The state government had issued communal titles to villagers in Nabawan, Tonggod and 
Tenom over the last two years.

*In my point of view, the state government effort in issuing the communal land titles to the landless
Sabahan is a brilliant decision. Apart from giving the deserved and landless Sabahan an 
opportunities to actually own a land, they will have 0% of possibility to lose the land by selling it to others.

    Hope that the natives will use this land to improve their livelihood such as planting fruits trees or vegetables for their own consumption or sell the produces to increase their income.

    Lepas dapat geran tanah, jangan pula jual tanah itu. Berjasalah kepada tanah seperti bercucuk tanam. Sekurang-kurangnya ada juga pendapatan.

    however some parties are not happy with the solution..this is because the opposition has politicized the grant communal title..people should be aware that the grant communal title is to protected their rights on the lands..no need to listen to opposition who is mostly like to twisted the facts..

    Betul juga tanah tidak diberi hak untuk menuakr milik dan seharus diusahakan untuk mendapatkan pendapatan berjangka masa panjang.

    Untuk mempertahankan hak milik, title inilahcara yang baik buat masa kini. Harus juga pemilik berusaha dan mejalankan aktiviti pertainian agar memperbaiki pendapatan masing-masing.

    there are many cases where villagers sell their land for short-term profit.. so in order to protect the land and the villagers, I think govt has made a right move by introducing the communal land tittle..

    Yang penting sekarang kerajaan Negeri perlu memastikan masalah rampasan tanah yang sering kali berlaku di Sabah akan dapat ditangani.
