Jobseekers Advised Not To Be Picky
KOTA KINABALU, Dec 1 (Bernama) -- Jobseekers were advised not to be picky at the Job Expo of the Sabah Resource Development and Information Technology Ministry on Dec 3 and 4 at the Suria Sabah shopping mall here.
Minister Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai, who is also a Sabah deputy chief minister, said jobseeker should understand the criteria of a job and gather information on how to excel in a job instead of being particular about what they believe should suit them better.
"About 2,200 jobs are being offered at this expo. Jobseekers should take this opportunity to get an offer of employment," he said at a news conference on the expo.
Dr Yee said 55 exhibitors from various fields will be taking part in the event at the mall from 10 am to 9 pm.
He said open job interviews would also be held as well as counselling sessions on how to write a resume and prepare for a job interview.
